Has Spring fever hit your house yet? It affects everyone differently,some of us enjoy a day in the sewing room quilting while others ,I won't call any names 🐕 just wants to play🤣 I went to check on her,if you can't nest um join um 😄 she grabbed her baby & threw it up in my lap to throw it 🤣 how are you handling spring fever?🤣
I'm not sure where I picked up the idea that this challenge was a monthly thing but it may be for me 😄I've noticed others making 3-4 makes so I've come to the conclusion it's more of a see how many you can make in a year lol anyways the amounts not set in stone
So I went ahead & pulled out the next make out of my jar & the winner is! Butterick6678! I'm thinking of going with view C
🤔now this dress is longer than I am tall 🤣 so I'll have to see how much pattern hacking I have to do before deciding on fabric
I didn't pay attention when I chose to add this one to the jar as it calls for a zipper,not that it's a problem I just don't know where my zipper foot is lol but I'm pretty sure I can get away with slipping over my head ,I'll stress that later after I alter the pattern,only one stress moment at a time 🤣
So far I've pulled these two from my stash they're soft & flowey
Meanwhile the better part of the day will be spent right here at the cutting table hand stitching on this quilt
Our weather's at it again,it was in a beautiful 70' s range yesterday & woke up this morning with the car windows frosted over & turning on the electric heater when the weather's like this by the time the heat heats up the house the outside warms up & your in a hot house🤣

It was a beautiful day for a walk long side the river but the real beauty lies just beyond the side walk that nobody notices, holly berries hanging in grape like clusters,,wild wheat like grass, unusual mushrooms & so much more
Saturday was rainy & bitter cold so what better place to be than in the sewing room,a few weeks back I decided to make the quilt a little bigger,I didn't have enough of the deep purple to replace it back for the backing so I used it for the borders
The border was just what it needed ,the rich purple makes the bright fun prints just pop with color, naturally I had to add to the lining ,just enough scraps from the original to make it work
A purple dotted print is the new backing for this quilt
Final stages of getting all the layers pinned together, I will finish this step this evening & begin quilting on it throughout the week
Just a few more touches to the February make for the sew lucky jar challenge
Sweet balsamic vinaigrette, spaghetti noodles, garlic,butter & sauteed veggies & grilled Chicken is all you need for a good lunch ,you don't always need a recipe just throw together what you like & make it good
Fabric hearts that I was working on for two of my nieces are finished & delivered ,I sent them pictures of fabric,lace & ribbon choices ,smooth edges or raggedy edges,hanging or tucking , what a mess ragging something makes 🤣 first up hearts for my niece Jennifer
