A trenchial down pouring rain is passing through,so what to do but create,working on the lime green quilt,fabrics laid out for some easy quick skirts & then we'll go from there
Sadie darted under the table when the sound of Cannon booming thunder came through,thunder is gone for now but still raining but shes still hanging close to me
Weather man says that the storm is just passing through,so hopefully it'll go about its way soon
What brings you joy? What do you see when you look at things? The simplest things can transport you back to another time & place in an instant ,but if you're not old enough to remember the pattern & make of these bowls them they're just bowls to you & that's ok! & I am old enough to remember & that's ok too!🤣🤣

Count it all joy,there's no deeper joy than the smile on a childs face, my little great niece & nephew were such big helpers on this windy day helping me surprise Delilah with a "just because" surprise , then sweet birthday surprises at the car,I've heard shes already had her first tea party😄
The azalea bush is blooming & one of the rose bushes has its first little rose bud coming out
Lots of new & fresh ideas for the back yard but will have to take it one idea at a time
Are you ready for the freshness of Spring? I want the backyard to have a totally new look for the veggies & flowers, if i cant have a picket fence ill paint the privacy fence white🤣so many ideas for the yard as well as the layneigh getting a new color theme,how about pink?

For Grace not me🤣 Grace has been patient with me & by myside watching me sandwich another quilt together so off to the park we went squeezing in the last 30 minutes of daylight
The limelight has survived me trying to trim it 😄& will be twice its size in a few days & cascading over the top of the swing
What's the longest you've waited for something you've luved ? 50 years? You heard right ! 50 yrs! 😄when we first married wayyyyy back in 74 Winn Dixie Grocery store carried the blue willow dishes ,we bought things we didn't need just to get those dishes 🤣 they'd promised the pink ones were next but it never happened ,yrs go by & you spot them in antique malls but cant touch um much less look$$$$$ scrolling through one of our local little antique spots we luved to scroll through had a big display 👀 restrained & walked away lol a week went by & decided I'd just get 4 & no more wellllll they were almost all gone Because shed marked them down so 8 place setting came home with me,oh glory! Was 50 yrs worth the wait? You bet ya! They will pair beautifully with my pink depressions
It started out as a lap quilt but the more I thought about it,being a 4 yr old she'd probably want to sleep under it so I took the whole back off,added another row,another border & so on ,my fingers won't let me stitch 24/7 but it is what it is lol
The last stitch has been stitched & it is ready to deliver ,I can't wait to see her little face tomorrow
I hate it when the sun shine changes colors on things that I'm trying to take pics of ,I finally gave up & took it inside
Next in line to be prepped for quilting is the rustic patchwork,while laying it across the bed to make sure that no more borders need to be added here comes Grace to put in her two cents worth 🤣
The backing will be a solid deep brown ,I'm not sure about the binding just yet , speaking of backing ,this is part of the fabric I grabbed when our collages theatre was moving their building & had fabrics,laces, trims etc free to the public,this looked like it may have been used for curtains or a backdrop,there's way more enough for a backing , I spent the better part of the evening taking hems & draw pulls out
I have no idea what to do with these but I felt compelled to keep them. 🤣
One of my quilt tops I noticed I had fabric handing with it ,yep you guessed it! for the borders, so I'm not done with that one as much as I thought I was lol
The weather was sit outside perfect yesterday so what happened?😄it's a cold windy 32 degrees this morning with a freeze coming in tonight ,just gotta luv crazy Alabama weather lol
Do you ever have moments when your quilt just seems crazy?😄 I'm not sure what was up with this one,I measured not once but twice but when I laid it out the backing was shy of a few inches so I added 2 & 1/2" on each side then I had to add & piece the batting which I'm using a sheet🤔 maybe it don't like the sheet🤣 anyways all 3 layers are lined up & I'm going to get it pinned before it acts up again
How green was your Saint Patricks day ? My skirt did have a little green in it& threw in a little green for lunch lol but other than that it was just an ordinary day ,grilled steak seasoned with garlic & butter, accompanied with a green tossed salad ,homemade chocolate pudding in a glorious antique green dessert glass
I worked on getting the lime green quilt pinned & ready for quilting, the backing is just a hair short so I'm having to rethink that 🤔
The Pharsees Wife book club on FB started today with the first 5 chapters,I've yet to read them so guess I'll be reading as I retire to the bed tonight😄
the day was spent mostly getting Grace to the vet for a nail trim & caught up on her rabies shot,took her shopping for a new leash & collar but nothing seemed right ,grabbed a burger on the way home, just one of those days that takes all day to do something 🤣
