Do You Luv Herbal Teas?

Seems like there's a bigger selection of herbal teas in the Spring & Summer months, I noticed a new one on the shelf at the store today  "cherry blossom" aren't those little sachet bags the cutest things?

There's a tea exchange store that im making plans to go to one day soon in Foley Ala. I think it's about a 3 hr drive from me

Do you have a good herbal tea recipe?

Along with the small vegetable garden I want to incorporate a "tea garden" with flowers & herbs to make teas , I'm  thinking I want to try drying some as well as using fresh for making teas,

 I'm sure this will be a fun learning experience for I luv to try new things, I've  been researching flowers & herbs for tea makings & cant wait to get started

Tuesdays Thoughts

We've enjoyed these last 9 days
with our Sadie ,they are so much like kids ,Grace always misses her when we take her home,our weathers been crazy with warm days & chilly nights 

The knock out roses are blooming,they seem to like the dirt in the back yard so im hoping to plant more in more color varieties 

I've striched on the lime green quilt off & on throughout the day ,lunch was simple ,a trip to Jacks 😄 just a slow easy going. Chilly day 

National No Housework Day

 

How are you celebrating no housework day? I made lunch but debating whether  to clean up🤣

Making do with what I  have ,down to the last steak in the freezer,lathered in a paste of butter,garlic & paprika & dill weed sizzling on the little George grill, pan seared brussels seasoned with butter,garlic & sea salt, even leftover mexican rice can be good when its revamped with butter, chili & lime spice

Our weathers at it again , Saturday was hot enough to get sunburned, Sunday we had a trenchial rain downpour off  & on all day, today temps are in the 40's & cloudy ,since its a National no housework day& its cold to go out 🤣 I'm spending the day stitching on a few quilts ,watching movies & drinking coffee😄

Sew Lucky Jar Challenge

 Time for another pull from the sew lucky jar , simplicity 8640,this is a happy pull ,i cut this one out a few months back & with the help.of a friend got the pattern all altered ,shortened etc. so hopefully it'll be a quick fix giving me time to finish last months pull

March pattern  pull 

Most patterns I do have to shorten but this one went way beyond that lol I should had just tossed it & drawn another one , raise the bodice , figure  out how to raise the neckline, tiers shortened, so much hacking 🙆but I'm still determined not to let this pattern get the best of me🤣

More Adventures For Grace & Sadie

 Our walk consisted of walking the Easter egg trail ,we didn't get to walk where the main part was "all the pretty" lol there were workers everywhere cleaning up from the storm that blew through But  I did get a few cute shots of them  

The wind made a mess & people are going to have to come in & redo their displays,o took them down a ways & walked long side the river

No sewing today but I did  pick up some elastic to finish my skirt & a bag of batting, mostly I've been cleaning out kitchen cabinets & culling out dishes then went & picked up a new stove

Rain,Sunsets, Adventures & March Rambles

 We've had more rain, cooling down to the 40's & high 70's by noon ,crazy crazy Spring weather  but it makes for happy plants & flowers,the limelight is turning whiter & growing by leaps & bounds

the wild spider wort is luving all this rain, I am hopeing to get them separated to incorporate more plants 

last night while out,  I caught a glimpse of a glorious sunset just before dark 

March was more of a catching up month than a finish month but i am happy with the finish of Diliahs quilt

I did get 2 of the tops sandwiched together for quilting ,I've been working on the green with pink thread & luving it!

Caught up on various blocks, i actually made a skirt but didn't have enough elastic to finish it so it'll blend into April's finishes  

I desperately want to invest in another dress form ,the mannequin is slippery & works only for looks for one piece items ,the skirt is a lot  fuller but had to be pinned to the blouse to stay up

I caught the girls taking a nap earlier this morning,perhaps they're resting up for the next adventure lol

speaking of adventures,they had a good one yesterday after the storm passed

It may be a few days before I can get back full force into sewing projects, I'm dealing with getting an old stove out & a new one in , a friend wants to have a day  of crocheting,I haven't crocheted in years & shes just learning & a neice & her daughters wanting to have a craft day which could lean towards anything from aprons to ironing board covers to whatever lol, the back yard needs a good Spring cleanup ,a fence to be painted ,flowers to be planted  along with things on my bucket list I'm hopeing to inlist my niece to help me😄
