Orphan Scrappy Top Finished & Photo Shoot

 with a rough finish of 47x50 I think I'll call it done ,once it's binded it'll be a  slight bit bigger ,this will make a good lap size to snuggle with a cup of coffee watching a movie 

Grace is always happy to oblige me for a photo shoot lol

this one will be on the bottom of the list to finish since it's  summery for there's several hanging around the sewing room I'm trying to get quilted by Christmas plans for the rest of today & tomorrow is to finish sewing down the binding on the last year's RSC quilt because it's time to get this year's RSC finished lol

Soup,More Borders & Trunk or Treat Night

One side of the outer border which consist of 2 rows of the 2& 1/2" sq's is done,I have quite a few cutout but there's definitely going to have to be more cutting 

I tried a new soup recipe today HAMBURGER STEW,I omitted some things,added some things ,tweaked till I liked the taste so now I'm not sure what it is but it's good! 😄

Grace & me went out to support my niece in the trunk or treat at church 

Grace thought these were toys lol

The treeing mode hit her when she saw the dinosaur coming at her🤣

She made some new friends

we found sweet little Delilah,you may remember seeing her in a previous post of her family's homestead farm

She's so silly 😄 I will work on another row of borders for the quilt ,not sure how far I'll get,I have to get up extra extra early tomorrow to take my friend Ree to the hospital for a procedure

Just One More Border To Go

 Today was a nice stay home in your pj's kind of day,I added another border to the scrappy lap quilt top

I'm thinking one more border,I'd like it to be at least the size of the one I have it laid on top of & looks like one more border will do it 

I'm thinking another keyboard border ,maybe with 2 rows 🤔 or a solid,what do you think?😁

Does The Fire Make It Better?

 What's magical about the fire that makes some squeal like waiting for a jack in the box to pop out & that split second you wonder if you have too much hairspray on your head 🤣yesterday my  sweet friend Ree had go through blood work test,etc prepping for an upcoming surgical procedure so I treated her to a night out of a fun & delicious dinner at the Japanese  steakhouse ,we made a trip to Joann's   for patterns we didn't need  but sales will do that to you 😄

 Wishing you a beautiful weekend ,my weekend got any early start last night  with my great nieces Olivia & Abigail's 6th grade beauty pageant 

So far I think everyone's settled in for the weekend ,I'm hoping to have a good "stay home" productive day 😄 that's the plan anyways to get projects tweaked,prepped even a finish or two 😁

Working on Boarder's

 A few weeks back I made a center out of the scrappy orphan blocks 

I've since added a muted olive green border& working on a keyboard border

two more keyboard borders then I'll decide where to go from there ,for now the thought process is lap/ throw  size

Down On The Farm

 we all know the phrase there's a time for every season,there's a season to dress up,smell good & be a little bit prissy 😄 there's a season to tighten up those shoe laces,pull that hair back & embrace the moment of piggies squealing,geese honking as you are transported to another time ,a place of childhood memories of grandparents  farms mixed with new memories you are making in this moment,but the moments do not belong to just you for there are others who are making memories taking you through short cuts through the barn to get to the goat pen,a creek in all its glory, & even swinging 😁

A Little Touch Of Fall

 We're into hot by day cold by night season with our weather ,I have a niece that lives further out into the country & me & Grace🐕took a little ride out to take her some fabric that she wanted& along the way we spayed the beginnings of Fall  in a few spots

I can't wait for Fall to get here full blown in all its glory!

Quilt Show Adventures Part 4

 😄this is the final post of our girls day out to the quilt show ,afterwards we stopped by a tomato farm after visiting their main market

I've never seen so many beautiful varieties of pumpkins

I've seen cotton fields,corn,peanuts,soybean& on & on but old as I am never a tomatoes field lol on both sides of the road as far as you could see

On the way home we stopped for a bite to eat & then stopped by a tomato farm
