Stitch The Season 2025 ( part 1)
Do little projects draw you in when you're working on other projects? having something quick & a little simple to work on in between big projects especially when we have to have those walk away moments justifies them ,right?🤣 This is the sweetest little stitching journal, the 1st prompt is vertical
I came across this in the middle so there's some catching up to do, its still early in the day ,not even 11:00 yet so I'll get this page stitched down & get back to the quilts
we had a freezing 27 degrees yesterday morning, everything outside was iced over but it slowly warmed up to the 50's by 2:00 so I made a run for it to the park with Grace & Sadie

Fabric Search Complete
In an earlier post there is the bird quilt that I'd made for a local quilt shop contest
My little great grand niece fell in luv with it,then both her & her brother fell in luv with the Christmas strip top I'd just made, when asked if they'd like a Christmas quilt they both said no, the talk of dinosaurs came up but she was still set on the birds , so I suggested since I had to make a dinosaur quilt how about a more girly bird quilt with lots of pink since mine looks like Christmas " red& green" she was on board with that.

Ear Infection
Random earaches come & go but this one started with the feeling of my eardrum being pricked with a needle ,the same feeling I got a yr ago when I had pollen get down into my ear canal, I haven't been sick, been in any bad wind ,of or downfalls so I figured itd subside & go away & it didn't,I woke up yesterday morning with severe pain & popping like firecrackers,it was all I could do to drive myself to the Dr.

What A Mess !
I spent the better part of the day working on 2 more rows, calling myself checking the back from time to time ,& smoothing it out but now it wants to buckle, I've never had such a problem keeping the batting & backing smooth so I blame it on the batting, its a brand I've never used before,it has a beige tint & a slight thicker texture, its all Michaels has
At this point I'm not sure if I want to rip out these 2 rows or rip all 4 out & find a better batting, would glueing it down help? I've never used the fabric glue on my quilts but Im willing to give it a try before ditching the whole thing

Playing With Red & White
I've been a little under the weather, not feeling like doing much of anything but sleep but I managed to stitch 2 more rows on the 16 patch quilt & play around with the idea of a red & white checkered board quilt
I cut the fabrics 3" width of fabric ,it may of been because Im not feeling good ,that long length bout beat me down😄 so I cut it into 19"strips & sewed 6 rows together
then I cut it onto 3" strips

Slowly Quilting Along
I've pulled out the 16 patch quilt & working on stitching a few more rows ,just taking it slow & easy today, our crazy weather caused me to click the heat on even knowing better 🤣 for it wasn't long it got to hot so between that & trying to do too much painting at one time ot bout made me sick , I'm not sick but I feel like I've been ran over by a truck 😄 so just working on this a little at a time & deciding which pattern to go with for my solid red & solid white fabric

Watercolor Homework Day 1
I was so glad to get all this done only to have done it wrong,we all did🤣when you have over 10 pages to read you're bound to miss something,we all painted darkest to lightest going down, somehow we all missed the part that said start at the top rows on all 9 cards then go med to lightest med, lightest to highest light by dragging the brush across the block to an opue stage,my lines are too thin somehow the thicker line effects the paint when it goes over the line getting a faded look so we all gotta do our homework over🤣
