Blue Quilt Ready For Trimming Up

 Its been slow going this weekend I haven't been able to work on Livvvy's & Cason:s quilt due to Grace🐕 having an upset tummy,coming home from church I spent tbe remainder of the day cleaning & shampooing carpet,Im staying close to her today as by the time she finds me to let me know she needs to go out its too late,if she doesn't improve I will have to take her to the vet, the quilt jist needs a good trim & bring the back around for the binding which Ill do this evening maybe if I get her to lay beside with a movie going if she needs to go out we can jump up at the same time 😄

Sunday Inspiration

 

Quilting, An All Day Affair

I had the thought how nice it'd be to pay someone to clean the house while I just  sewed & quilted all day & threw the hint out there but got no response so I did the laundry,loaded the dishwasher, & made lunch 😄 

spent the day working on 2 quilts,I had the blue one going in the sewing room 

After an hour or so I moved into the living room & worked on Livvys!  quilt while watching a movie two of my neighbors dropped  by & we walked around the neighborhood  then it was back to quilting 

The Japanese Hydrangea Is In Full Bloom

 The Japanese Hydrangea is all white & getting bigger by the day ,I quilted a little over one & a half rows on Livvys quilt till I had to go to town,I'm  getting where I dislike going to town when Im quilting ,seems like when I leave the house I cant get back🤣

Switching Gears

 My hand hasn't wanted to cooperate much today,if I so much as picked a needle up it went numb 😄 so I decided I'd switch gears & machine quilt the blue take 5 quilt, I prefer hand stitching but since its a lap size , It'll be good to have a finish

Ill move Livvys quilt into the living room & quilt on it  as long as the hand will let me 😄

Quilting Update

 Shhhhh nobody knows where I am,let them keep thinking I'm out & about🤣

I usually keep a few needles threaded to speed up the process,threading one needle at a time is for the birds😄 

when I redid the sewing room I came across these labels I'd bought many many moons ago,I don't think they make them any more,I found on etsy you could get a pack for $19.99🙆

the morning started out with waffles made with almond flour,egg, milk & a touch of baking powder blackberries & strawberries,so far the only plans for today is  just to walk with my neighbor & quilt !quilt! quilt! 😄

Checking In

 It was one of those days not being able to fully engage into a project ,having to get ready & be gone most of the day ,but come tomorrow!🤣 I did get a little bit of  something done,a few more blocks & if there was enough left from the scraps I was using for the blocks they got turned into 2  1/2 X 3 strips for a keyboard  border

Block Therapy

 Are you an early riser? I luv early mornings but this time change drives me crazy ,the clock says 5:00 but my mind says in reality its 4:00 but because the new time is 5:00 it makes feel like I over slept 🤣 I made a few more strip blocks & now have a total of  61

3 more red & white nine patch blocks

I've been plugging away at these tiny 3" nine patches for a year,the bowl is full of ones that need trimming just a tad

there are now 132 finished in the bag,still a long ways off from 400 plus 

the sun is now up,birds are chirping ,on my 2nd cup of coffee acompied with a steak omelette,now to get this day started , catch up on house work while getting bills paid, throughout the day I'll work on quilting on various quilts ,walk with my neighbor,take Grace to the park & that should bout do me in for the day 😄

Happy National Quilting Day & Past Quilts

 

Did you squeeze in some quilting projects today? I set my new machine up & gave it test run,she runs so smooth that I  kept checking to see if it was stitching 😄

I thought Id machine  the blue take five quilt since it was a lap size

I really didn't get into making quilts untill a few years ago so I've only got a few under my belt but there's 4 tops hanging in the closet & binding on the 9 patch is almost finished,Casons - & Livvys quilts will make it to the finish line by the end of this month so I'm looking for  4 finishes for March , between 2022 & 2025 I've made 11 quilts, with all the other sewing projects that I do that's pretty good for me😄

Sometimes Plans Change

Yesterday started out good with cleaning & working on the quilts till my niece asked if I could stay with her grands Cason & Livvy,so the day went from all day quilt sewing marathon 😄 to swinging,playing games with a favorite doll,spying out flowers that were blooming around the yard,making slime cats& snowmen,even slime ice cream🤣 these two keep me young at heart for sure!🤣

A Stich Here & A Stitch There & Somebody's Put Out With Me

 

Grace says of its not hers shes not saying cheese!she may not even want to be part of the photo shoot🤣when its for me I let her snuggle under it beside me while I stitch watching movies but when they are gifts that's a no depending on how far along I will often take a break from it & pull put a me quilt & put on a movie & she forgives me & all is well ,"spoilt to the max"! 🤣

I will work on this throughout the day as long as my fingers don't go numb lol I am alternating  the rows with straight stitches & Baptist fan stitches 

The Sewing Room Is Finished

 In between life happenings, finishing up quilting projects, & making myself stop to clean the 🏡 I finally got the sewing room put back together with a few new changes like moving the big round end table beside the rocker out & adding the pole lamp behind it  etc. I wont make you look at all nearly 50 pictures,unless you just want to 🤣
