Cooking Grits Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

A friend gave me a box of grits,I told her I'd not cooked regular grits since the 70's & that  it was a first & last ordeal 🤣

Sweet Sadie 🐕is staying with Grace 🐕& me a few days, she woke me up early to go outside ,I'm usually up early so not looking at the clock I let the girls out & come back in & made coffee before realizing it was just 1:30am  well once you smell coffee it's over lol thus the experiment with the grits,a whole 25 minutes of life dedicated to making grits lol

Sadie was so funny hanging in there with me

#1 you're cooking what?

#2 how long will this take?

#3 just cancel my grits order

#4 done yet?

#5 wake me when they're done

🐕🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

being up early I got to capture the moon in all its glory

the girls🐕🐕got their second wind wanting to play before daylight

with all this fun I went ahead & put some butterbeans in the crockpot & ran a load of cloths by 3am I was on my 3rd cup of coffee & in the sewing room cutting out more pillowcases for Ryans Case For Smiles ,by 8am butterbeans we're done, poured them up into a bowl ,rinsed out the crockpot, added thick beef patties & brown gravy

,left to take my neice to work, stopped by Walmart  & picked up some squash, the girls🐕🐕 are asleep& I'm gonna sit here a bit longer Scroll through all my sewing groups & blogs I follow them cook some squash & onions & make cornbread🤔 maybe some chocolate chip cookies
How's your day going?
