20 Blocks In But Still So Many To Go
Once I get the same amount of filler blocks I think Ill be half way there lol
With the 20 today gives me a total of 149,for a full size I'll still need around 300 , I was cutting 1 1/2 long strips & sewing them in rows of 3 & cutting them in 3" strips
but I discovered they turn out more accurate if cut strips in 1 1/2 x3's & sew together
Then cut those in half
Then construct the blocks

Prepping For A Sew Day
I had plans for day of sewing at our local little fabric shop ,what they call sit & sew where you work on what ever from 10:30-2:30 with a break for lunch, turns out Im the only one that signed up 🤣 she called giving me options, come sit with their evening sewing class, credit toward the next sit & sew or toward a purchase
I laid out a few fabrics to make more blocks in the morning

A Girls Day Out For One
Its been way too long since I've had a day out of just enjoying being out ,no rushing ,just embracing the day & taking care of simple needful things,it has been seems like 20 years since Ive bought new pillows ,I've been sleeping on 2 flat pillows way to long lol so with Target being my first destination I finally bought new pillows
New baking sheets, this set has 3 sizes, I like the small one,it will come in handy when I make up my small batch recipes
Then treated myself to a Carmel flapphichio then Moseied on over to Home Depot where they were handing out free popcorn so that took care of lunch 🤣 then on to Walmart ,picked up a packet of morning glory seeds, I'd seen an idea to have them in a handing basket as opposed to climbing ,cant wait to see how this turns out
bought two new herbal teas to try, tried the chamomile lavender after dinner,it leans more towards the chamomile but still has a good taste,Im hoping the peach will be good as well
I rolled out the last of the flat bread dough I'd made yesterday & made a chicken pesto pizza
picked up a few things for my friend Ree & checked on her , I had Hobby Lobby on my mind for threads but I done got tired😄 a simple, diddle daddle day but a good day ,I think I should give myself a girls day out once a month🤣

Tote #2 Finished,Boxed & Lined
It has been a good day weather wise but can you believe more rains due to come in this weekend? I finished up the flamingo tote bag boxed the corners & lined it with a pink polka dot cause that's what I had
the lining is a little long but an easy fix but for now it's done ,for lunch I made flatbread & cooked a steak on low in a flat griddle skillet seasoned with butter, pepper, garlic, paprika, tyme& dill& made a steak sandwich
I luv my little red pitcher, its just the right size for using 1 family size tea bag ,i don't make tea often but when I have a taste for it this is my go to pitcher
Here is the link if you'd like to make flatbread,I patted the dough out with my hand to about the thickness of a biscuit
