UFO Finished Day 2

 Another UFO finish,these pillows got put on the back burner last year,with pillow forms costing  as high as $30 it's easier to just make your own,after all it's just a square sewn together & stuffed,pillow forms are 24x24 made from pressed quilt batting,fabric is pumpkin colored flannel 

UFO Finishes Day 1

 Can you relate to "I'm not going into the new year with UFO's (unfinished projects) LoL Dec  needs to be focused on finishing up the little houses quilt for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge hosted by So scrappy & a Christmas dress making day with a friend ,awww it'd be nice if that's ALL I had to do 🤣meanwhile  with Nov.coming so quickly to an end I'm determined to at least mark off last year's Fall & Christmas UFO's from the list LoL

The first UFO off the list is last year's rag Quilt that I finished up yesterday, I was in the middle of posting last night before midnight but fell asleep,ohhh the joys of getting older🤣this is the first time I've made a rag quilt,not sure I did it right,not sure I like it,but I'm sure it's finished🤣

Coming Up To The Finish Line

 I think I may need about 8 more little houses,as I get them trimmed up I'm placing them on navy blue fabric to get a visual of how the quilt will look

Inbetween finishing this quilt up for RSC I've been finishing up last year's Fall projects along with other UFO's LoL pillow forms are pricey when you want big pillows so I make my own ,I'll talk more about that when I finished the other one,I don't want to go into 2023 with unfinished projects& someone asked how many quilts do I have unfinished🤔aww that would be 4 LoL

A Few More Houses

 I sewed up 8 more little houses for my RSC quilt ,I tried to guesstimate how many I'll need to make a good cuddling up size ,I like to make them around 56X66 give or take how many & how wide I make the borders,spreading out what I have so far to see how many across I need,sizes of borders etc. I've guesstimated 44-55 little houses which will depend on their size after I get them all trimmed 

Little House Blocks Decisions

 I've seen a lot of unique ways to sew up a little house quilt from different sizes,arrangements to color themed but I think I've found an example that I'm pleased with,the purple strip is not my color choice,I was just trying to get a visual of how'd it all look separated with borders,I think deciding on what color of strips in-between the rows will be the hardest part & I'm running out of time to decided as the end of 2022 scrap Challenge is too near for comfort😄the sample uses black as borders ,I've never used black ,what do you think?

Just Had To Sew One More

 Another take on Simplicity  4552, this is the best go to pattern,especially if you're ever in a sewing slump where you want to sew but the mojo's just not kicking in,I luv the easiness & quickness of the pieces& how that it can go from casual to dressy just by the fabric choices 

Other news from the sewing room ,things are getting down to the nitty gritty with the little house quilt for the 2022 Rainbow 🌈 Scrap Quilt Challenge, more houses to be cut & sewn ,at this point it's too late to think "what was I thinking" for I need more than I was thinking😄but I have a plan for the borders,as 2022 is quickly coming to an end it's time to put the petal to the metal as the old saying goes for speed lol
