A Surprise In The Flower Bed

sitting outside I noticed a tiny white flower in one of my flower beds

I know I didn't plant it lol talking with my neice, we came to the conclusion they must have come from seeds of a bouquet of wildflowers that I'd gathered from her yard last year lol

Some of my flowers are still hanging on

I didn't know that these bloomed,I'd transferred them from a shady area in my back yard when I moved here, Google says they prefer full sun, guess they needed their sunshine lol it is called Hylotelephium "showy Stonecrop" it is a prennial in the cactus & succulent family

from 2 plants I now have 9 & I noticed a tiny one coming up, Google also says they can be rooted by cutting & letting the stems dry out before planting in the soil

A few cardinals fluttering about

It's a been a beautiful day for a do nothing kind of day with cool breezes & low overcast sky's ,we may be in for some rain, DVD movies, bird watching, sewing.& working on my quilt block layout bout sums up my day lol

  1. Stonecrop Sedum has beautiful blooms in the fall. When I dig up a plant to move it, it usually breaks into several plants. I have both the regular size ones and the miniature ground cover type (in 3 colors).
