Coming In For A Finish

 An early start to finish up this quilt top 

then there's pillowcases to make, lots & lots of pillow cases 

Once I get the pillowcases delivered I'll resume back to getting these tops that are overtaking my sewing room quilted into quilts,I didn't want orphan blocks laying around forever so they (60) will make just the right sized lap quilt,im thinking  keyboard border but I'll have to revisit that thought later

I'll finish up the green top then pillowcases will have to take first priority

It's a cool rainy morning due from the hurricane ,prayers for all those around us that was hit ,they say another one is expected later this week,stay  safe  & happy creating

Half Way To The Green Finish Line

at end of the day I was  half way to the finish,the more rows I added the more the green was growing on me ,the next row is pinned & ready to attach, then just 3 more rows to go!

 I don't know when it was the last time I'd gotten so much done on a project in one day ,I even stopped in between to cook, watch a movie & fall asleep watching the movie😂 the neighbors around me were grilling & it smelt sooo good so I had to think quick before I ran off to a bar b q place 😂 chicken Alfredo with roasted broccoli & squash saved the day!

Then back to the sewing room,do you watch sewing videos while you sew?😂 soon it was time for a  coffee & peanutbutter ball break

I break the recipe on half & try to restrain to 2 at a time even though they're  not fatting just to make them last longer😂

Keto Peanutbutter Balls 

1/2 c. almond flour

1/2 c.peanutbutter

1/4 c.  honey

I'm not sure if honey is 100% keto friendly but if you are going by strictly keto ,the recipe calls for low carb maple syrup

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to make a quilt featuring a background color 

But I see more in my future! Plans are to finish this one up later this evening "no movie breaks"😂

The Green Is Growing On Me!

 I'm not sure why I jumped on the lime green ban wagon but I did 😄 Kate of The Last Homely House recently made  bear claw quilt with a lime green background & it looked amazing ,I always see quilts with background colors & luv them but never manage to make one with a background color so I dove in with a lime green of all colors 😂but the more I work with it the more it's growing on me😂 

Tidbits Of Today

 The day started out early first on the agenda was to take Grace to get her toenails clipped,the back road produced a pleasant surprise of belted cows 

Last & final layout of the blocks for the lime green quilt

They're just laid out on the backside of one of my quilts,I'm using it as a guild as to how big I want it,green sashing will be added ,went to the last night of a revival with a friend & huddle house afterwards & what seemed like hours of talking ,laughing & catching up 

This week I'll be getting the pillowcases sewn together 

Trying not to start anything new untill everything is caught up & finished up,but is that even possible?🤣

The Green Is Winning!

 rainbow flow?🤷color wash flow?🤷scrappy flow?🤷 I'm not sure which direction these blocks are headed but I do know that  the green is winning so I'll keep adding green strips to the blocks & see what happens

it's another dark rainy day so it's not like I'm going anywhere anytime soon😄

No Stressing But Maybe Overthinking 🤣

 I laid the scrappy blocks out for one final check & noticed a lot were smaller 🤔 I guess I'm the beginning I was trimming them down to 6"  

The ones flipped over are "6 there are (35) of them &( 97) 6 &1/2" I'm not cutting down 97 blocks because I'm not making a queen or king lol soooo the options are 

So working with the 6 &1/2 with a 2 &.   1/2  trim 2&1/2  trim will make them around 9" so I've researched ,added, subtracted, measured & everything else in between lol 

70 will give a 56x80 full w/ 7x10 layout

this will leave a little over 20 blocks left over ,trimm& add to the 35 pile they get bumped up to 55

50 will give a nice twin 40x80

Grace says be sure & keep all the purples mama!🤣

My scrappies usually don't cause overthinking because  they get put together ,I think my brain derailed when I thought about adding sashing  to give a background color 😂

So keep going the the green or out them back together 

Another thought is to take the smaller ones & cut into 2" sq & make scrappy 4 patch or a full & cut down the left over 6 & 1/2 's & make a full & a lap 🤷

Am I the only one that thinks too much🤣🤣🤣🤣

Park Photo Shoot & A Picnic

 The girls 🐕🐕 park adventure got bumped up to a photo shoot & a picnic 

They weren't too sure if they should get on the quilt 😄but they did good for their first park photo shoot

We shared a hamburger slider ,a little spinach dip with grain free chips,could get a cute pic giving them bites lol so next time I'll have to remember to bring them a paper plate then maybe I can snap one before they gobble it up😄

1st Day Of Fall Sunday Dinner " pic heavy"

 I've started a new tradition ,this is the 2nd year for my 1st day of Fall Sunday Dinner & of course Sadie is now such a big part of mine ,,& Graces life ,we can't imagine any event or holiday without her

I didn't get the pillows made that I wanted for the bench in the front entry but that's ok!

I didn't get the aprons I wanted for the kitchen finished but that's ok!

It's best to stress less ,breath & just enjoy your life❤️ it was a good day & now time to get on those pillowcases!😄
