A Finish & A Photo Shoot

Last years RSC quilt was fast becoming  scraps for future projects ,all was going well then it just didn't appeal to me anymore ,put it away, get it out & on &  on , the dark blue ! too much? whatever it was threw it off then I got a wild hair to make the houses smaller 🙆long story short I pulled it out & revived it with a fresh new look

the back is from pieces from my stash
the light doesn't do it justice

it was cold cold cold yesterday but I knew outside would be the best option for lighting sooo what better excuse to have a photo session with your fur baby🐕 trying to get good shots before  she bailed or the timer going off I'd say she did good,I think it was more of being happy to be under the quilt cause it was cold!🤣

all in all I'm glad I saved it from the scrap bin & gave it new life,a year late, the roofs lost their peaks due to grabbing the ruler & trimming down without thinking  but I luv it!

now to get 2023 RSC "rainbow scrappy challenge" quilted & noooo I'm not changing it I luv it just the way it is!🤣

the color green has jup started the 2024 rainbow scrap challenge, every yr I say I'm going to do a 12" block never happens untill now I think I've found one & it's scrappy! more on that later as I'm finishing up UFO's so I can make more 🤣

Wishing all of you many happy hours in your happy place in the New Year, keep those needles sharp & those bobbins full ! stay warm! & happy sewing !

  1. I'm glad you revived it. Not all houses have pointy roof tops so yours look fine.

  2. Congrats on finishing up your RSC makeover quilt, Helen! I liked it the first way and the remake, too. Best of luck finishing up the next one!
