Still Raining But The Gardens Still Growing

 We're still getting rain in spurts everyday & there's more in the forecast into the new week ahead,today wasn't to bad so I managed to get some daylillies into the Lilly bed, tomatoes& squash planted, hopefully I can work on some more tomorrow as there's a table full of more to be planted

On a sewing note there's plans to finish some quilt  binding, go through the quilt tops & see which ones will be lap size or add more blocks or borders to enlarge them

Pizza Party "heavy post"

 Cason & Livvy" my great grand niece  & nephew"arrive at my house aroun 8:00 this morning ,my niece -n-law & the kids were due in a few hrs. meanwhile Cason & Livvy got started on some prep work "with help "  the boys worked on an apple pie pizza, then it was on to the  pizza making,the buffet consist of pizza toppings,desserts,cheese stuffed bread knots,punch,phlyili cheese steak & pesto chicken french bread pizzas,it was a fun packed day & they had a blast

With The Rain Comes Roses

The roses are luving all this rain ,the back yard not so much as its get deep in some spots 

I'm  at my nieces today with Cason & Livvy so the day will be spent coloring,watching cartoons & whatever else they can talk me into😄 tomorrow they will be at my house & there's a pizza party brewing! 

All Plants Deserve A Second Chance 😄

 

The lavender foxglove that I rescued from Lowes garden centers death row is beginning to bloom,death row is a sad place for plants they are no longer allowed sunshine,water or care ,some don't make it 🥲 so the next time you're at Lowe's be sure to visit these plants at the back of the garden center ,all they need is a little luv , fresh dirt & a drink of water to help them live out their best life 🤣

When You Just Gotta Sew Something

 I haven't gotten into any big projects since finishing the church house quilt,I've been diving into deep cleaning & culling out,I did finish getting the binding ready to stitch down on the blue take 5 quilt,today I pulled out a big bag of scraps & made a few more scrappy blocks

There are now 74 of these blocks,these got started when I decided to give those same ole same ole scraps another chance,my great grand niece & nephew are visiting  their gigi " my niece" they will stay with me within the next  few days while shes at work so not too sure how much sewing I'll get into,maybe in the evenings if they don't wear me down 😄

Happy Memorial Weekend & Sewing Plans

 Back in the day we'd gather & cookout for memorial day but now its just another day on the calendar,Im the only one left in my immediate family & nieces & nephew's focus more on 4th of July ,how about you? are you getting the grill out?

The first of the Lilies bloomed today, there's been tremendous downpours off & on today,I may have to plant one thing at a time in-between the rain to get the flowers & veggies planted😄 

Has anybody made the Tree Of Life Quilt? Its been on my bucket list for way too many year's  so I'm thinking of getting my greens out& adding it to my cutting out days

Trying New Recipes

 Today has a been a good day to get some things done around the house, starting out around 4,am washing clothes lol cleaning  out the fridge giving my closet a complete emptying & culling out to making a  picture of lemon water,steak omelette for breakfast mascarpone pesto chicken for dinner & peanut butter bombs,it has went from light showers to heavy downpours off & on all day with floodings & tornado just a ways down the road,no sewing today, just cleaning,culling out,cooking new recipes

What's Next?

 

Sometimes I may feel like this but there's way too much to do for the feeling to last too long 😄 I've been deep cleaning & culling out every room in the house & planning out sewing projects

Auditioning fabrics for future  aprons to blend into the Summer season

A few more veggies to plant ,yellow squash, Roma tomatoes,sugar baby watermelon & few flowers, it's lightly raining today ,weather says we're in for 6 days of rain,that will make for good sewing & quilting weather
