With the blue quilt I originally was bringing the backing over to the front to create a binding but I was not liking the look of it, the texture of the fabric was too soft to hold a good shape so I trimmed it down & went through some of my stash & cut (7) 2 & 1/2" strips of this deep mustard color,I will get my neighbors daughters church quilt l started in the morning
I came across a link explaining how to determine how many strips down to how much fabric for your binding,
width+width +length+length
Add 10"
Divide by 40 or WOF
Round up to the nearest number for number of 2 1/2" strips
Has anyone used this method?
