Today was the end of the Shop Hop,my niece & me managage to squeeze in 10 throughout the month,we were limited time wise having to be back in time for her boys to get in from school,this morning we ventured out to Thomasville  Ala.to the sweetest shop 

I purchased a roll of batting & some yummy fat quarters ,they will be a beautiful start to the oak leaf

 quilt I want to make in the upcoming months,afterwards we Googled where to eat & found the perfect restaurant & enjoyed lunch on the deck overlooking the lake

Just Chillin

 Grace & me has just been chilling on tbe couch today😀 I'm down to last of the original  red & white squares of the original  plan for the red & white quilt unstitching & cutting them   down to 3 &1/2"

A little review of the red & whitt top,the white seemed to overpower the look I was wanting & it was then that I decided to pull in the deep red rose print & cut the squares smaller

4 more rows cut out & ready to add on, I'm hoping to get this top finished by the weekend & get started quitting on both the red & white quilts & finished by December

 I've been working on cutting  more squares out for the red/white/floral patch quilt 

I need to figure out how many of each is needed & get them all cut, I'm thinking that  it may go faster,found this  quote & thought it was cute & so true 😄

This apron body was missing ,then I happened to check the "fabric" I gave my little nephew to put around the base of the Fall tree,he had told me something wasn't right that it wouldn't work & I told him as long as it covered the legs of the tree  it'll be ok,well he was right! It was the missing apron body🤣

 Just a  wee little mess I promise,if the sewing room could talk I'm sure it'd say not again! 😄finishing up the last of the decorating , tomorrow's grocery run day & prepping what can be made a day ahead , cheese ball,chicken salad etc.

Got the aprons cut out & ready to sew up  later this evening 

Meeting up with a friend this evening then.I'll get the aprons finished,my niece is spending the day with me tomorrow to help prep food for Saturday ,I know this post is boring 🤣 I've been busy finishing up

 cleaning ,decorating, tweaking  etc.

Welcome Back! Little Sewing Room!

 That aww moment when the tornado that came through the sewing room passess😂 101 pillowcases at some point trash bins over flow,fabric starts flying ,wait where'd the floor go?🤣 I should had made a video,me sewing,my niece ironing,my 9 yr old nephew pulling them outta the jelly roll stage,the older nephew was on babysitting duty, Makenzie is almost walking now,we were a site to behold😂 yesterday the sewing room finally got some luv & a little makeover

I'm pretty sure my sewing room is a little scared that I laid these fabrics out 😂

Plans & A Sneak peek Into Fall Decorating

 Lemons makes me happy 🤔well not so much 🤣but sewing does,🤣

sewing has taken a back seat to all othere projects far too long ,years too long,plans are in the works to dive back into sewing in the next few months ,meanwhile here's a sneak peek at some of my Fall decor for my Fall celebration dinner coming up

I'm finishing up the Fall quilt made with a panel ,there's the 2 red & white tops I want quilted for Christmas along with other projects ,so csn you guess what's going down in the sewing room in the next few weeks ?😂

Shop Hoping & Watercolor Challenge Completed

 Friday when I delivered the pillowcases  we got a two for one ,the shop just happened to be part of the shop hop, we got our quilt block & I picked up this pattern, I'm  looking forward to getting into it in the new year

I finished the last of the watercolor challenge this morning & got them submitted,there wil be a zoom tonight & voting, I won't win any grand prizes ,free handing is not my friend 😄but it was fun & enlightening & I did learn a few new techniques 

The Sewing Machine Mart is the sweetest little shop in Springfield Ala.

I learned something new ,I didn't know there was sich a thing as a needle sharpener,maybe I don't get out enough 😄 but you insert the needle into the middle & twist it around a few times & it sharpens it
