A Few Skirts

 In between catching up on  quilts,blocks & Fall projects,I whipped up a few skirts for a Sew  Up Your Stash contest I joined & this weekend will definitely be dedicated to catching up the little house blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge over at ww.http://superscrappy.blogspot.com

I want to get all UFO's ("unfinished projects") outta the way because there's  an all day Christmas dress sewing day with a friend in the works coming up soon

Happy Little Houses

 Bob Ross the painter had his happy little trees,I have my happy little houses,catching up on a few blocks,I have a few ideas of how I want to assemble them for my quilt,Oct will be over as quickly as it came so I've gotta get busy😂

Keeping Blocks In Order

Do you ever get all your blocks organized & in order only for mishaps like falling off the table only to have to go back to the reference photo" if you thought to take one" lol ,I've had my rag quilt spread out on the cutting table & thinking since this is a work in progress & I really really need my table to catch up on challenges I'm a part of I pined the remaining blocks in the order to be sew hopefully this will work& I can get it finished up in no time!

Another UFO Finish

 Simplicity 8595

 I don't remember the name of this fabric but it's kind of tee shirt like with a little rib to it, sewing it with a walking foot I still had to go slower than I usually do but today it's done! I will make it again in a different fabric texture in the upcoming weeks,plans for Sept.are  to sew,sew & sew some more ! LoL light blue is the color for RSC challenge or catch up on your blocks,I joined in on Patternreview's  Fabric Stash Contest,& just a few more UFO's handing around the sewing room

Pears & Orange Sunsets

Once you get through all the peeling of the pears it's clear sailing & since pear preserves like the ole tyme' candied type like your grandma use to make is chopped pears ,what a better use of the pear left around the core that doesn't slice up pretty lol I'll do that today😁

,On my evening walk with my Grace🦮,I noticed how orange the sky was & thought funny how this months RSC challenge color was 

orange & the skys in all it's orange glory

What's On The Cutting Table?

Simplicity 7203 in pink polka dot,I've had this cut out for a while, last year I made this pattern in the shorter version in green & cut the pink for our in the longer version ,mean while it got put on the back burner & I lost weight so I had to cut it down,so now I'm hopeing to whip it up this week & enjoy it before Fall weather kicks in LoL!

 

Little Houses & Patterns

Four months left for the 2022 Rainbow Scrape Challenge Orange is the color for Aug.  I can't believe I've got a good start as there's so much catching up to do on a few past colors

My pattern haul from my neighbors sale ,they are early 80's & 70's, I'm thinking of joining Pattern Reviews "Sew your Stash" challenge,a fun time to dive into some these patterns  & sew up some of my stash that's in the sewing room ,the closet,the carport........🤣
