Coming Up To The Finish Line

 I didn't get to get anything done sewing or quilting wise yesterday,my niece cane over to take an online test & Grace & me entertained  the baby,Grace was eager to help her get the toys out of her bag 😄

Two more pumpkins to stitch into the border then stitch the insides,Im thinking of making a few more stitched lines in the center panel but I'll decide that after its trimmed & I may bring the back around to the front for a self binding but not too much thinking for come rain or shine there's a finish in its future for today 😄

A Stitching & Unstitching Kinda Day

 Way down in the middle of row 10 or so I noticed a pucker ,now why did I think I could just go in & take that one square out with seams nested this way & that way 😄 every time I ripped it out & sewed it back in the pucker went right in 🤣so nothing to do but unstitch the whole row

Along about row 17  I noticed I was running out of the white on white ,no more fabric in the sewing room to be found so looks like I'll have to go get more, I'm pretty sure there'll still be some but not too sure about the red

I found some large tins at Hobby Lobby, I'm becoming obsessed with tins to store my ongoing projects in 😄perfect to hold the Fall fabrics,thread & pattern that's on my bucket list for the new year ,the new stitch journal is too big for the other one but I'm sure I'll fill it with something soon

Rainy Day Outting @ A New Fabric/Embroidery Shop

 Today spite the rain,my niece & me went to a grand opening of a new fabric/ embroidery shop,the doors opened at 10:00.& we got there at 8:30& there was already a long very long line ,some had been there since 7 :00am we never did see what the door prize in was  for the first 15 people😄 afterwards we went antiquing at the new antique mall that opened about a month ago,they've added lots more booths & rows of reserved spaces,then Chinese for lunch,it was a long rainy wet but fun day

A Day Out Before The Rain

Grace & me got a quick outting before the rain started in , it's been a relaxing day of sewing rows to the red& white top & quilting on the Fall quilt,even squeezed in some reading 

Today's Sewing Plans

 Working on getting the 4 rows previously cut out for the red /white/rose/ top 

According to my calculations after these 4 I'll need to cut for 15 more rows to yield a 27 X 30 layout

I posted about my little jar awhile back but thought Id share its purpose again, instead of looking for or snipping a little piece of fabric to test the thread tension I made a jar with scraps of fabrics & keep it on the sewing table

I have the Fall quilt in the living room to work on while watching a movie & sometimes in the early morning while watching you tube quilting etc ,I worked my way around the corner & over half way to one side of the outer border stitching across the 4 patches 

Alabama is in for some serveare weather this weekend, Governor Ivy has declared us in among  the emergency relief & under hurricane warnings

October Is For Finishes

 Do you know how hard it is to not start something new? 😄 The jury may still be out on that but for now October is for finishing up from small to large projects starting off with a good start finishing up the last of the Fall aprons this morning 

Some projects will take a day or two maybe a little longer but most within a day depending on what life in general throws at me!  I've come up with a list ,so we shall see how the month goes
