First tote is done! The stone washed denim was gifted from my friend Ree many moons ago& the bandana fabric is the last of the yardage I've used in quits,just a tad left ,it may go into my ugly quilt challenge 😄more on that later ,working on dwindling my scraps & yardages ,more scrap busting challenges coming soon!
This was a burrito style process which goes fast if you don't decide to quilt it🤣 I first had three layers ,the denim,batting & sheet fabric,thinking you wouldn't see the quilting,I used red thread only to discover that that would be on the inside all ugly😄 so I ripped it all out & figured out how to lay it out where the red print would be on the inside to look like it was as lined ,being quilted made it hard to pull through using the burrito method, the serger did not like the bulk - broke a needle do I had to sew it around the edges with regular stitching,I know I could french seam it but I'm done with it😄
There'll be more scrap busting projects to come in between the bigger projects there's an over sized bag I want to make & its lined so no worries about not being able to use the serger just yet
Lunch & Dinner was simple starting off with a salad of spring mix greens, blueberries,strawberries,& pecans tossed in Brianna's Blush wine vingerett & orzo
Banana slices ,thick chocolate syrup & vanilla ice cream
Dinner was sure nuff simple🤣 cereal & coffee
