Borders,Bread Pudding ,& Canning

More hot dog bun Shenanigans, the morning started off with bread pudding, the recipe is from All Recipes so I knew it'd be good, the aroma of cinnamon & vanilla soon filled the air as it baked to its perfect doneness,I halfth the recipe & used 3 pinched up hot dog buns

Then I got the peaches washed ,peeled, sliced & canned in extra light syrup which is 1 c sugar to 6 c water ratio

The jelly is made from cooking down the peelings & strained ,I learned this from my father-n-law years ago,he use to tell us that when he was coming up his mom would always makes jellies from the fruits peelings that fruit was for eating & for pies ,which makes senses ,after all store bought jelly is clear

Since it was a peachy day, nothing better than a cup of peach &  hibiscus tea

I managed to get one outter border onto the bird top  ,it looks like its a little puckered 👀 but I just may be tired😄so I'll walk away till morning

  1. I haven't had bread pudding in years. A yummy way to start the day.

  2. The canned peaches look so fresh and delicious; and what a way to use up all the parts by cooking the peels down into a jelly. Bread Pudding is one of my husbands favorite treats. I am a tea person and your cup of tea would make for a great sit-down break during the day.

  3. My grandma used to make bread pudding with hotdog bun. Good memories. And, yes, Allrecipes is one of the safest places to find good recipes. I agree.
