The Makings Of A Fall Quilt

 Pulling out what fabrics I can find in the color families  of soft browns,creams,wheats etc. I'm pretty sure I'll have to add to what I have but I cant spend too much time thinking about it or it'll be Christmas 😄

I want to go with this pattern from the first quilt I made with my sweet Aunt Annibelle which is currently on my bed

Way back in the day she'd given me a block from one of the tops she'd made,& eventually  passed down a few tops she'd made with this pattern,I noticed although the same block layout they're different ,the blue is the focus in the one above 

the one hanging in my sewing room the triangle corners & middle strip are the same

the blue flimsy she alternated 2 of the corners with the middle strip the same style as she did the green

looking back at the one she taught me to quilt the blocks are a mixture of both but all the centers are  the same blue as the corner blues  pulling the eye to the blue giving an overall look of a blue background

the block is tattered now but I believe I can make a pattern without taking it apart,Im not sure if this is an actual block or one she made up it was one she used a lot 

I came across theis cute quote this morning &  instantly thought about  my sweet Aunt Annibelle 😄
