Determination Gets It Done!
That's what it came down to ,let everything else go & get her done!😄 Grace was one happy girl to finally get her photo shoot lol with just enough daylight left in the day
she's been trying to snuggle up under the whole day while I've had it in my lap working on the binding ,she's such a silly spoilet girl😄
It finished out at 44X48 , made up from leftover blocks from a previous flannel quilt with red /black plaid flannel I've had in my stash forever, the batting is thin flannel textured curtain lining gifted from a friend & the back is leftover scraps,I like how the middle worked out to look like a hop Scotch lol

Almost finished & The Tiniest Pincushion
I called it finished last night but decided to go down with another row of stitches in between each row which I am liking a lot better
Do you ever lose your needle when you lay it down on your quilt even though you're stareing right at it? LoL well enough was enough ! I made it a little pincushion to hold it when I walk away 🤣

A Beautiful Weekend
red velvet waffles take 2 ! LoL the 1st go round I didn't have red food coloring & wasn't going to the store just for that so they got turned into chocolate cherry waffles 🤣 but yesterday it happened, the recipe calls for buttermilk but I buy that maybe twice in a year lol anyways they turned out good & the girls🐕🐕 liked them
A walk in the park was just what we needed after rain & crazy low temps coming out of nowhere ,l luv how Sadie stood gazing at this sign as though she was reading it,funny how they can noticed certain things even on a sign

It Was Late But I was Hungry
Supper usually consist of cereal & a good cup of coffee but yesterday after burning the pizza lol & spending the day at the park ,cereal wasn't going to get it😂
It just takes a few minutes to go that extra mile in the kitchen to whip up something tasty, chicken thawing in a bowl of water while broccoli & squash are steaming in a steamed pot, prep for sauce, meanwhile chicken is ready for grill, while it's cooking, cut veggies off & make sauce, now wasn't that easy?😂
Sauce: add a few Tsp. If butter to a low pan or skillet, turn down low so not to burn the butter, add a few tsp. flour, stir & cook like you would making gravy, begin to add milk ,add cheese to your liking along with salt/pepper,I used garlic salt & dill spice with just a little grated cheese
Grace & Sadie says it was a win! win! especially in the cute bunny plates😂
I'm hoping to finish the small flannel quilt at some point before midnight but we shall see how the day goes ,our church is having an event for the kids & surrounding community
my niece & nephew -n-law are children's ministry pastors so they'll be making sure everything will be fun & running smoothly while help with these sweet toots enjoy the festivities
You know your old when your nieces & nephews start having grandbabies🤣 being gone the better part of the morning,Grace & Sadie will be expecting some fun time ,I may or may not take them to the park ,we have quite a few to choose from , I'm hoping to finish up this lap quilt by midnightFriday, March 22, 2024
