Bunnies Of The Past

 A friend asked how long it'd been since I last made a doll 🤔more years than I can remember lol over 15 for sure,it got me looking through pictures & I came across  a few bunnies that were always  good sellers during the Spring 

There were a lot of laughs with who I named Fat Boy 🤣

A Little Progress

 I made 2 more of the  16 patch blocks this morning

they are made up of (16) 4" cut squares,sewn together they come out 14X14,I've played around with the math & for a lap size of around 56X66 without borders   I'll need  20 blocks & for a full roughly around 30 blocks, there may be another good or better size for a full ,I'm just going by a rough estimate, so this make 4 for this  type of block ,there's no rush as these are my piddlely blocks🤣I cut out squares in-between other blocks

Another piddlely block is the scrappy blocks made from little scraps left from the main blocks im working on towards my main quilts,they are 6" ,I laid them out this morning , lap or full , I'll  need a lot more ,like 50 or 60 more lol but I do believe I want to do a piano border on these 

So I guess we can call these piddley quilts🤣 the main focus are the Rainbow Scrap Challenge & the Tiny Nine Patch Challenge along with UFO's & now piddelys 🤣

Our crazy weather sent us another freeze last night but the roses were like 🤔freeze? what freeze? lol they bloom out this morning

these little beauties close up at night so they covered themselves 😄

hopefully this evening the sewing room will get a good organizing & cleaning out & lay out lots of fabrics for tiny nine patch blocks & work on getting caught on on those

Just A Normal Day

I have a friend who is always saying she's going to start dressing up like for work when she sews,in the years that I've known her I haven't seen this happen yet🤣

 As for me I've been in my pj's all day 😄 mostly cleaning house but I did arrange a few quilt block layouts to sew together & worked a little on my embroidery,nothing fancy ,I'm in the trying to learn stage 😄

A quick & simple dinner today of salad & spaghetti

A few blocks I forgot to post on my National  Quilting Day Post ,I will lay all these out tomorrow & see if there's enough to make a top

hard to believe this is week 10 for the tiny 9 patch challenge,that means I should have 100 by next Monday🙆it's seems the more I try to catch up the further behind I get lol 

How's your sewing projects going? 

A little Slow Stitching & Quilting

 The little lap quilt is all sandwiched together & pinned for quilting,I'm thinking of quilting it on the diagonal with a grey pearl cotton thread

the blocks are left over from the tie quilt made a while back & red  flannel yardage that's been forever in my stash from my doll making days,the middle is a soft brushed curtain lining gifted from a friend,& just enough left over fabric to squeak out the backing ,all in all the only investment in this quilt is the pearl cotton thread which was less than $4

On another note I've started the stitching process on the stitching journal cover,I was going for a circle  but I'm thinking I'm creating a spider 🕸️ web🤣

A while back I started cutting 5" square from the scrap pile because I'd seen where somebody said that was a good idea😄 well it is unless curiosity sets in & before you know it you've just started another quilt 😄

And that dear friends are how UFOs are born 🤣🤣🤣

Sunday Inspiration

 

Purples For March

 Purples are slim pickings ,thank goodness I only need  2  each month of the 12" blocks for this year's rainbow scrappy quilt ,I started making 6" blocks,not sure why 🤷 I think I was missing the scrappy quilt I gave to my niece who fell in luv with it 🤣 anyways not sure where these blocks are heading as I've almost got enough to make a quilt  😄

Did you know that today is National Quilting Day?

I've got the little flannel lap quilt all sandwiched together,pinned & ready for stitching,been making more blocks & working on my stitch journal, gotta take Grace🐕 to get her rabies shot& run a few errands
