Just Buzzing Around

 First let's buzz around the kitchen with some good ole pancakes

Come sit on the layneigh with me & watch the bees buzz around,this little guy didn't mind me keeping him company😄

Let's buzz around the flower bed & give it a good weed cleaning out

Of course we're buzzing around the sewing room cutting out squares for the tiny 9 patch blocks & 5" squares for the 16 patch blocks

I'm having to hit things with a lick & a promise today🤣it's about to pour down rain so I must run to the store before it hits, my nephews coming not sure today or tomorrow to check my kitchen outlets,someone's coming to trim trees tomorrow plus there's a youth choir that I wantta hear later that evening, only one sleeve left to put in my purple dress so  inbetween all the buzzing around this weekend I plan to gets lots & lots of things cut out & ready to hit my sewing full speed ahead in the next few days!

Out of the 16 patch blocks ,I believe this one is my favorite so far but with about 15-20 more to go that could change but for now it's the favorite!

The birds are buzzing around getting along in the feeder, they luv the old bird bath that now serves as a feeder along with the handing ones,the doves really enjoy it as they have a hard time handing on to the feeders,so if you have an old birdbath don't toss it use it for a feeder for the bigger birds

I Fixed It! & Sewing Has Resumed!

 I fought & fought that bobbin case but I finally won!🤣I've been catching up on blocks ,cutting out 5" squares for the 16 patch blocks these blocks finish out to a 14 X 14 block ,without borders  a lap size of around 56X66 will take 20 blocks,a full will take around 30 ,I'm thinking I want this one in a full

A few blocks to add to the oranges,reds,pinks,blacks & browns for the scrappy quilt pile,maybe 40 or so more varieties of colors & they'll be enough for a top 

later today I will catch up on a few more variest blocks so maybe there'll be a  block catch up part 2 post this evening 😁

Still Fighting

 This crazy bobbin case that is 😄 

I know it has to be one of those simple duh moments but it will not cooperate,I've taken everything off ,googled 🙆how much more can I tear it apart before it cooperates 🤣

I've had this machine well over 20 years & it's making me made enough to just go but a new one🤣 I have a brother but the parts got separated in moving oh what a mess in the sewing room this week 🙆

Well I Was Off To A Good Start But Then ...

 🤣It's going to be one of those days,the morning started off bright ,& early like 4am early lol starting with coffee of course & bumping my waffles up by adding Coco to the batter

then I decided to work on making a few blocks,this is as far as I got

 

because the bobbin case jumped out & I can't make it go back in there 🤣

So we go outside,Grace is content soaking up the morning sun

the Amaryllis is blooming

the neighbors roses are coming over the fence over on my side😁

I came back inside ,made baked spaghetti ,salad & homemade lemonade,going to enjoy lunch & watch a movie 

If I don't manage to get that bobbin case under control pretty quick ,I think I'll shift over to cutting some things out

Do You Ever Think, What Was I Thinking!

 The eye will always catch things that are pretty,things that are interesting, challenging at times & the brain is right there telling you ,🤔 looks easy enough 

Then you discover that it's not a simple allicade 👀 the instructions call to trace all pieces onto preview plastic to make the templet then trace the whole pattern onto  a 43 X 65 background of  6-7 yds of preview paper

Look how huge this pattern is!

Why oh why didn't I just buy the pillow pattern,noooo I had to have the quilt cause it was pretty,guess you could say my eyes 👀 double crossed me🤣  with the preview paper is $10 a yd, this piece calls for 6 yds🙆 I'm going to have to rethink this project ,since I'm not entering a contest ,I'm a long ways from that ,I can't see paying that

I'm not sure if this pattern can be done like an applicable 🤔 it is a challenge for sure ! Do you ever get yourself into things like this?🤣
